Brief about Yoga.

Yoga is an Indian spiritual and physical practice or discipline. Yoga is not just about exercise with the main purpose of yoga is improving health and well-being, but it’s also about self-realization. It is a science that focuses on improving not only physical health but also mental and spiritual well-being, which are the foundations of our life.

Yoga also makes one’s mind stronger and healthier and leads him towards a better way of living. Yoga is not limited to just postures and asanas but also involves pranayama's, kriyas, dhyana or meditation, breath work, living mindfully and following a healthy diet. Usually, yoga is thought to be something related to the exercises of the body, but yoga isn’t just exercise.

Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘yuj’ which means ‘union’. The practice of yoga includes disciplining or training the ‘body’ and ‘mind’.With regular practice of Yoga, one begins to develop better control of their emotions and leads a disciplined and happy life. Yoga improves strength, and stamina, tones muscle, builds immunity and teaches one how to live a Yogic life.

After practice of yoga asanas, Yoga makes one more active and reduces laziness.
